- The PRCR Department will host its third annual Diwali Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon-3 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.
- Free and open to everyone, the Diwali Festival will feature enchanting music, vibrant dance performances, hands-on arts and crafts activities, board games, a cricket demonstration, and a henna tattoo artist.
- Prior to the start of the afternoon’s festivities, take a few minutes to slow down, breathe, stretch, and reconnect with yourself during a special Yoga Session from 11-11:45 a.m. at the Joyner Park Amphitheater.
WAKE FOREST, NC – The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will host its third annual Diwali Festival on Saturday, Oct. 3, from noon-3 p.m. at E. Carroll Joyner Park, 701 Harris Road.
Free and open to everyone, the Diwali Festival will feature enchanting music, vibrant dance performances, hands-on arts and crafts activities, a cricket demonstration, board games, and a henna tattoo artist. Several food and dessert trucks will also be onsite throughout the afternoon.
Festival goers are encouraged to bring chairs and/or blankets but are reminded that alcoholic beverages, unleashed pets, and grills of any kind are prohibited.
Prior to the start of the afternoon’s festivities, take a few minutes to slow down, breathe, stretch, and reconnect with yourself during a special Yoga Session from 11-11:45 a.m. at the Joyner Park Amphitheater. No prior yoga experience is required! Whether you’re new to yoga or have an established practice, everyone is welcome. Please bring your own yoga mat and water bottle.
