WAKE FOREST, NC – Firebox Theatre Company will present four performances of the Stephen King classic “Misery” Friday-Sunday, Oct. 2-4, at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St. Showtimes are 7:30 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 2; 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 3; and 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 4.
Firebox Theatre will bring “Misery” to life in a gripping stage adaptation that promises intensity and intimacy in equal measure. The story follows a famous novelist who is rescued from a car accident by his self-proclaimed “number one fan,” only to discover that her devotion quickly turns into something far more dangerous.
This production marks the first time Firebox Theatre’s founders will share the stage together, adding an extra layer of excitement for longtime supporters. Cautions: Intense adult themes, strong language, and violence. Prop firearms, fake blood, and strobe effects will be used in this production.
