WAKE FOREST, NC – Beginning Monday, Sept. 21, the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will close for resurfacing the Flaherty Park Pickleball Courts, 1226 N. White St.
North State Surfacing, a contractor working on behalf of the PRCR Department, will clean, repair cracks, and resurface all four pickleball courts.
The estimated cost of this project is $26,124.
In the coming days, signage will be posted at the pickleball courts to the notify the public of the September 21 closure. The courts are expected to reopen by mid-October.
The site will be considered an active construction site throughout the duration of the resurfacing project. Community members are urged to follow all posted signage and stay out of the area. No trespassing is allowed.
