Wake Forest Power responding to downtown outage

***UPDATE - Power has been restored. The cause was an unfortunate squirrel.

The information below was posted at 9:20 a.m.:

Wake Forest Power crews are responding to a power outage affecting over 60 customers in the downtown area and beyond.  

Affected streets include, but are not limited to, South Brooks Street, East Jones Avenue, East Owen Avenue, and South White Street. 

The cause of the outage is unknown, and there is no timetable for when power will be restored. 

Additional information will be provided as it becomes available.
