Wake Forest Police to host May 7 fundraiser for officer’s wife battling cancer
The Wake Forest Police Department will host a Benefit Bar-B-Que for Danielle Murray, wife of Police Sgt. Kevin Murray, on Wednesday, May 7, from 11 a.m.-3 p.m. - or until all the BBQ plates are sold – at Wake Forest Fire Station #1, 420 Elm Ave.
Danielle was recently diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer. She has been undergoing costly medical procedures that are causing a financial hardship for the Murray family. All proceeds from the May 7 Benefit Bar-B-Que will be used to help offset Danielle’s medical expenses.
BBQ plates are $15 each and will include generous portions of BBQ, green beans, and potatoes. Cash, check, and credit cards will be accepted.
No preorders will be accepted but eat-in and drive thru take-out options will be available.
Delivery service is available for orders of 15 plates or more.
