Wake Forest to participate in Local Government Career Expo at UNC’s Friday Center June 7
The Town of Wake Forest will join with dozens of city, town, and county government employers across North Carolina for this year’s Local Government Career Expo on Saturday, June 7, from 1-4 p.m. at the UNC Friday Center, 100 Friday Center Dr., Chapel Hill.
Job seekers will be able to explore career paths ranging from construction, business administration, environmental sciences, public health, public safety, technology, finance and more. Unlike traditional job fairs, job seekers will engage with subject matter experts and HR professionals to understand how their skills translate to careers in local government. Job seekers will hear from experts on how to advance their career and find new careers that align with their passion.
At a time when job market volatility is top of mind, local governments stand out as a stable, mission-driven career path. With reliable benefits, competitive pay, and opportunities to make a real impact in communities across North Carolina, working in local government offers more than just a job – it offers purpose.
The Local Government Career Expo welcomes anyone interested in expanding their career journey, including mid-career professionals, individuals looking to switch careers, and those desiring to explore new opportunities. Pre-registered attendees can expect to be contacted by local government employers regarding their career interests. For complete details, visit https://logocareerexpo.com/.
