The Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St., will present “Some Enchanted Evening featuring Jane Monheit” on Wednesday, Oct. 1, at 7:30 p.m.
After more than 20 years, 12 studio albums, and headline performances at Carnegie Hall and The Hollywood Bowl, Jane Monheit comes to the Renaissance Centre to share her love for the music of Rodgers and Hammerstein and the iconic songwriters of the “Great American Songbook.” Accompanied by pianist and arranger Christian Tamburr and his trio, Monheit will perform such songs as “Some Enchanted Evening” (South Pacific), “It Might As Well Be Spring” (State Fair), “If I Loved You” (Carousel), “Something Wonderful” (The King and I), and the list goes on.
