South Main Street/US 1A at Wake Drive (near Mellow Mushroom) has been reduced to one lane due to a sink hole. The lane closures are causing serious delays, so motorists may wish to avoid the area and choose an alternate route.
NCDOT crews are enroute, but there is no timetable on when all lanes will reopen.
