- On Thursday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Raleigh Water will close South Main Street/US 1A at the Elm Avenue intersection, along with the eastbound lane of Elm from South Main to South White Street.
- Detours will be in place along South Main Street/US 1A.
WAKE FOREST, NC – On Thursday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m.-3 p.m., Raleigh Water will close the portion of South Main Street/US 1A at the Elm Avenue intersection, along with the eastbound lane of Elm from South Main to South White Street. The closures are necessary to allow crews to replace a water valve box.
The following detours will be in place:
- Motorists traveling along northbound South Main Street be detoured to Front Street, East Roosevelt Avenue, and South White Street.
- Motorists traveling along southbound South Main Street will be detoured to East Holding Avenue and South White Street.
