The Town of Wake Forest will temporarily close the portion of northbound North Main Street/US 1A from East Walnut Avenue to East Juniper Avenue Friday, Aug. 15, from 8 a.m.-1 p.m.
The temporary lane closure is necessary to allow crews to remove a tree that poses a danger to public safety.
A signed detour will be in place to safely direct traffic around the work area. Delays are expected, so motorists may wish to avoid the area and choose an alternate route.
