Work along Wait Avenue will require overnight lane closures Tuesday-Thursday, Aug. 26-28.

Iron Horse Contractors, a contractor working at the future Quail Crossing Subdivision, will reduce to one lane with intermittent two-way traffic the portion of Wait Avenue from Stone Park Drive to Mackie Park Drive Tuesday-Thursday, Aug. 26-28, from 7 p.m.-6 a.m. The lane closure is necessary to allow crews to finish paving the road. The completion of the work has been delayed due to inclement weather.

Signage and flaggers will be in place to manage traffic flow and safely direct motorists through the work area. Delays are expected, so motorists may wish to avoid the area and take an alternate route.

The contractor is starting work at 7 p.m. each evening to reduce the impact on travelers and make the work safer for crews. For more information, email Billy Pugh at billypugh@ironhorsecontractors.com.

The Town of Wake Forest offers an interactive map that gives residents a user-friendly and convenient way to view local road closures and restrictions. Motorists are encouraged to use the information to help plan their route and move safely through work areas.
