WAKE FOREST, NC – Friday Night on White (FNOW) is the 2026 Wake Living Maggy Award winner for Best Local Event or Festival.
Known for showcasing the best of Wake County, the Maggy Awards are determined by the votes of local community members. The awards span four categories - restaurants, lifestyle, services, and shopping - and highlight the businesses that make the region unique.
FNOW earned its Maggy Award in the Lifestyle category from several thousand ballots cast.
Now in its 11th year, FNOW takes place along South White Street in downtown Wake Forest from 6-9 p.m. on the second Friday of each month from April through September. A favorite among locals and visitors alike, the free concert series features local and regional party bands playing classic rock and pop, 70s, 80s, and 90s hits, R&B dance, Top 40, and Motown favorites.
This year’s FNOW series begins April 10 with Bounce! Party Band, and continues May 8 with Sleeping Booty Band, June 12 with Night Years, July 10 with Love Tribe, August 14 with The Amazing Lounge Lizards, and September 11 with Liquid Pleasure.
