DigitalBridge to host Career Training Block Party Saturday

Wednesday, December 7, 2022 - 3:52pm

DigitalBridge, a partner of the Town of Wake Forest, will host a Career Training Block Party this Saturday, Dec. 10, from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. on the Dubois Campus, 536 N. Franklin St. The free event will include on-site digital career trainings, job opportunities information, small business vendors, food trucks, live music, kids’ activities, and more.

DigitalBridge is a social venture with a mission to accelerate America’s diverse digital talent and create economic opportunity. Rooted in digital equity, DigitalBridge offers career coaching, digital training, access to affordable devices, and jobs matching. Open to all skill levels, DigitalBridge trains people looking to start a digital career, advance in a current career, or who simply want to learn digital skills for everyday life.

Both in-person and remote learning is offered, ranging from basic digital literacy courses (Google) Productivity at Work, Online Business, Applied Work Skills, and Remote Work to more advanced digital certification courses such as Salesforce Administration, Digital Marketing, Project Management, Linux, Python, CyberSecurity and more.

All participants take part in a detailed orientation and assessment process before being assigned a Digital Coach who will help guide them towards their next career and goals. Participants may complete each program at their own pace, but most take anywhere from three to six months.

Anyone unable to attend Saturday’s Block Party but interested in learning more is encouraged to visit the DigitalBridge website at https://mydigitalbridge.org/. The “Events” page is updated frequently to include information on upcoming events and free digital courses. For more information, contact the DigitalBridge team at 919-246-5700 or [email protected].
