Crash closes Capital Boulevard/US 1

***UPDATE: Two of three lanes along northbound Capital Boulevard/US 1 have reopened. The Capital Boulevard/US 1 entrance to Caveness Farms Avenue remains closed.

The information below was distributed today at 2:02 p.m.:

A three-vehicle crash, including an overturned dump truck, has closed all lanes of northbound Capital Boulevard/US 1 from Caveness Farms Avenue to the Dr. Calvin Jones Highway/NC 98 Bypass. A detour is in place. Motorists are urged to avoid the area and choose another route.

Emergency personnel are on the scene. There is no word on injuries.
