WAKE FOREST, NC – Beginning Monday, Feb. 23, and continuing through early-March from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. daily, Browe Construction, a subcontractor of Sunrock Industries, LLC, will continue work on the 2026 Wake Forest Road Resurfacing Project. This phase will occur along these streets in the following order:

  • Lakeview Avenue
  • Agnew Court
  • South Wingate Street
  • Rodney Bay Crossing
  • Little Tall Way
  • Stoningham Place

Weather permitting, the 2026 Road Resurfacing Project will consist of concrete work starting in February and asphalt work beginning in April. The initiative will involve full depth patching, roadway repairs, and repaving, along with the replacement and repair of curb and gutter. Several black ADA ramps will also be replaced with yellow mats per national standards.

Affected residents will be notified of work in advance by door hangers. During the scheduled work dates, these residents will be prohibited from parking their vehicles along the street. Vehicles left on the street on the scheduled work dates will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Once the work begins, detour signs and flaggers will direct traffic around the work areas. Motorists in these areas should use caution, obey flag signals from construction personnel, and take the signed detour or choose an alternate route.

The 2026 Road Resurfacing Project is a 2022 Wake Forest Bond Referendum initiative. For more information, including an interactive map of all targeted streets and roadways, visit The Town of Wake Forest’s Resurfacing Project webpage or contact Senior Civil Engineer Jesse Jones at 919-435-9446 or jljones@wakeforestnc.gov.
