WAKE FOREST, NC – During the week of September 21 from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. each day, Sunrock Industries, LLC, will initiate a paving project along the following streets as part of the 2026 Road Resurfacing Project:
- West Owen Avenue - South Main Street/US 1A to South College Street
- South College Street - South Avenue to West Owen Avenue
The initiative will involve full depth patching, roadway repairs, and repaving.
A signed detour will be in place directing motorists around the work areas. Delays are expected, so motorists may wish to avoid these areas if possible and take an alternate route.
Affected residents will be notified of work in advance by door hangers. During the scheduled work dates, these residents will be prohibited from parking their vehicles along the street. Vehicles left on the street on the scheduled work dates will be towed at the owner’s expense.
The 2026 Road Resurfacing Project is a 2022 Wake Forest Bond Referendum initiative.
