2025 Road Resurfacing Project continues, concrete work, milling & paving set to begin
Earlier this year, the Town of Wake Forest initiated a major road rehabilitation and resurfacing project targeting over 60 local streets and roadways. The 2025 Road Resurfacing Project consists of concrete work, which began in February, and asphalt work which is being scheduled now. The initiative involves full depth patching, roadway repairs, and repaving, along with the replacement and repair of curb and gutter. Several black ADA ramps are also being replaced with yellow mats per national standards.
During the week of July 14 , milling and paving operations are scheduled along these streets:
Amersham Lane
Crookham Court
Finchurch Circle
Melksham Road
Hysop Lane
Shapinsay Avenue
Wallridge Drive
Sinewell Drive
Rose Petal Run
Lotus Lane
Caladium Drive
Amaryllis Way
Edgeford Park Lane
During the week of July 21, milling and paving operations are scheduled along these streets:
Moultonboro Avenue
East Cedar Avenue
East Oak Avenue
East Nelson Avenue
Brick Street
Amaryllis Way
Caladium Drive
Tulip Grove Lane
Brick Street
Carroll Street
Prior to milling and paving operations, affected residents along these streets will be notified via door hanger. During the scheduled work dates, these residents will be prohibited from parking their vehicles along the street. Vehicles left on the street on the scheduled work dates will be towed at the owner’s expense.
Once the work begins, detour signs and flaggers will direct traffic around the work areas. Motorists in these areas should use caution, obey flag signals from construction personnel, take the signed detour, or choose an alternate route.
