2025 Road Resurfacing Project continues, concrete work, milling and paving set to begin along several streets

Tuesday, July 1, 2025 - 1:46pm

Earlier this year, the Town of Wake Forest initiated a major road rehabilitation and resurfacing project targeting over 60 local streets and roadways. The 2025 Road Resurfacing Project consists of concrete work, which began in February, and asphalt work scheduled to start now. The initiative involves full depth patching, roadway repairs, and repaving, along with the replacement and repair of curb and gutter. Several black ADA ramps are also being replaced with yellow mats per national standards.

Beginning today (Tuesday, July 1), and continuing weekdays from 7 a.m.-4 p.m., Fulford & Jones, a subcontractor of Blythe Construction working on behalf of the Town of Wake Forest, will begin concrete work along the following streets:

  • Falconhurst Dr

  • Kemble Ridge Dr

  • Barrett Hall Ln

During the week of June 30 , milling and paving operations are scheduled along these streets:

  • Naxos Drive

  • Marjoram Court

  • Comphrey Court

  • Borage Drive

  • Sarrat Ridge Court

  • Tenbury Woods Court

  • Flicker Court

  • Hysop Lane

  • Wallridge Drive

  • Sinewell Drive

During the week of July 7, milling and paving operations are scheduled along these streets:

  • Shapinsay Avenue

  • Finchurch Circle

  • Amersham Lane

  • Edgeford Park Lane

  • Amaryllis Way

  • Caladium Drive

  • Tulip Grove Lane

Prior to milling and paving operations, affected residents along these streets will be notified via door hanger. During the scheduled work dates, these residents will be prohibited from parking their vehicles along the street. Vehicles left on the street on the scheduled work dates will be towed at the owner’s expense.

Once the work begins, detour signs and flaggers will direct traffic around the work areas. Motorists in these areas should use caution, obey flag signals from construction personnel, take the signed detour, or choose an alternate route.
