The Flaherty Park Tennis Courts, 1100 N. White St., will soon be closed for renovation and upgrades.
Beginning in August, the Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will initiate a comprehensive renovation project at the tennis courts that will include:
Removal and replacement of existing courts, including lining for pickleball on select courts
Removal and replacement of existing fencing
Installation of water fountains
Construction of restroom facilities
Installation of courtside electrical outlets on select courts
Installation of ADA-approved sidewalks and curb and gutter
Installation of new signage and landscaping
Signage will be posted around the courts to inform the public of the closure. Flaherty Park visitors are urged to avoid the construction area.
