Voters Approved Three Bond Questions in 2014

In November 2014, Wake Forest voters approved all three questions on the referendum ballot for the Town of Wake Forest.

Question #1 concerning street and sidewalk improvements passed 7,398 to 3,102 (70.46% to 29.54%).
Question #2 regarding parks and recreation facilities passed 6,877 to 3,609 (65.58% to 34.42%).
Question #3 concerning greenway improvements passed 6,902 to 3,619 (65.6% to 34.4%).

Street & Sidewalk Improvement Bonds

On Nov. 4, 2014, Wake Forest voters passed a $25.1 million bond for three separate capital projects totaling $55 million.

Question #1 concerning street and sidewalk improvements passed 7,398 to 3,102 (70.46% to 29.54%).

Bond Amount

$6,300,000

Purpose

Funding will be used to improve pedestrian and motorist travel throughout Wake Forest.

Potential Projects

Widening of Ligon Mill Road
Stadium Drive Complete Streets
- Resurfacing of North Avenue from Wingate Street to North White Street
Widening of Rogers Road
Pedestrian corridors on Wait Avenue, West Oak Avenue and Durham Road
Pedestrian underpasses on Rogers Road, Forestville Road and Ligon Mill Road
Construction of the Northside Loop and the Harris Road roundabout
