Wake Forest Power tree crews will close the southbound lane of North Main Street from West Cedar Avenue to West Juniper Avenue Thursday, Sept. 12, from 9 a.m.-4 p.m. The temporary lane closure is necessary to allow crews to remove a declining maple tree out of concern for public safety.
The power outage currently affecting downtown Wake Forest is temporary. Crews had to drop the circuit that feeds downtown in order to safely remove damaged wire along North Main Street. The outage is expected to last no more than 30 minutes.Read more
