Water MonitoringThe Town of Wake Forest has developed several programs to help educate citizens interested in learning about their local environment, streams, water quality, and their ecological address. Programs include watershed overview and educationAdopt a Stream, water quality monitoring 101, stream education 101, backyard stream restoration, buffer replanting, stormwater education, stormwater BMP management and retrofit, backyard rain gardens, backyard wetlands, and good housekeeping practices (leaf litter, yard waste, oil, grease, paint and fertilizer application).  

Town staff is available during the work week to offer instruction to groups and local schools.
