Basketball Skills Clinics
The Town of Wake Forest is partnering with the City of Raleigh and Special Olympics of Wake County to host a series of basketball clinics for children and adults with special needs on Sundays from December 3, 2017, through February 18, 2018. The clinics will be offered from 3:30-4:30 pm at Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St.

Participants must be at least eight-years-old and have valid Special Olympics Medical and Parent Permission forms on file with Special Olympics Wake County prior to the first day of practice. For more information about the required forms and other conditions, visit www.sonc.net.

A mandatory parent/guardian meeting will be held during the first practice on Sunday, December 3, 2017.

Participants should bring/wear the following items to practice: tennis shoes, comfortable athletic clothing (no jeans) and water in a labeled bottle.

Registration is required and completed registration forms must be submitted prior to the first scheduled practice to:

Participation Requirements
To participate in any Special Olympics sports, all athletes must adhere to the following:

PLEASE NOTE: Each athlete will be screened by coaches and staff throughout the season. If any any time we determine it is unsafe for athletes to participate, we reserve the right to discuss our concerns with the athlete and family.

Please pay close attention to any deadlines for returning forms or information. Any athlete who does not return required information by the announced deadlines may forfeit the opportunity to participate this season.
