Wake Forest Police investigating fatal shooting

Christopher Lee Lewis, Jr. turned himself in earlier today without incident. 

Lewis has been charged with one count of murder in the fatal shooting of Myles Anthony Wilson.

The victim in last night’s fatal shooting has been identified as Myles Anthony Wilson, 718 E. Pine Ave., Wake Forest.

The investigation into this case continues. Additional details will be released as they become available.

Wake Forest Police are investigating a fatal shooting along North Taylor Street. At 10:05 p.m., officers responded to a report of shots fired along the 300 block of North Taylor Street. Upon their arrival, officers located a 22-year-old male victim who had been shot. The individual died as a result of his injuries upon arrival at WakeMed.  

The investigation into this case continues, but police do not believe the shooting was a random act. Anyone with information is asked to call the Police Tip line at 919-435-9610. You may remain anonymous.
