Traffic Alert - Traditions Grande Boulevard

Kenneth West, Inc. will alter the northbound traffic pattern along a portion of Traditions Grande Boulevard between Royal Mill Avenue and Reservoir View Lane Tuesday and Wednesday, Feb. 5-6, from 9 a.m.-3 p.m. each day.

Traffic flow will remain open in both directions, but motorists are urged to proceed with caution as crews will be working in the area preparing for the future installation of a water line.

Signage and flaggers will be in place to manage traffic flow and safely direct motorists through the work area. Delays are possible, so motorists may wish to avoid the area and take an alternate route.

The Town of Wake Forest provides this information as a public service. Planned road closures and restrictions are necessary to allow for a variety of work. Motorists are encouraged to use the information to help plan their route and move safely through the work area.

Weather and unforeseen circumstances occasionally prevent work from being completed as scheduled and make it unsafe to reopen lanes or streets when planned. When this occurs, town staff works with contractors to resolve the situation as quickly as possible and reduce impacts to the traveling public.

When traveling through a construction area, drivers, bicyclists, and pedestrians are asked to be patient, proceed with caution, and obey flaggers. Drivers should get in the correct lane well in advance and constantly be on the lookout for vehicles merging into adjacent travel lanes as they approach a work zone. Drivers are also urged to double their following distances.
