Traffic Alert - Elm Avenue

The Elm Avenue CSX railroad gate crossing arms are malfunctioning and will not lower when trains approach the intersection. CSX officials are aware of the issue and have scheduled crews to repair the crossing arms tomorrow (Friday, July 9).

In the meantime, train conductors have been instructed to stop ahead of the Elm Avenue intersection and ensure all traffic has stopped in both directions before proceeding.

Until the crossing arms are repaired, however, motorists are strongly urged to approach the Elm Avenue railroad crossing with caution.
