Town offers array of volunteer opportunities
The Town of Wake Forest offers an array of volunteer opportunities for individuals, families, businesses, churches and civic groups interested in contributing their time and talents towards serving the community.
Service opportunities range from participation in environmental efforts, including Adopt-A-Stream, Adopt-A-Trail and Tree Stewards, to Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources initiatives, such as Dream League Baseball Buddies and youth league coaches.
Volunteers are also needed to perform a variety of roles during popular Town events, including Mardi Gras, Dirt Day, Friday Night on White, the annual paper shredding event and Good Neighbor Day – just to name a few, while the Northern Community Food Security Team also coordinates several community service initiatives, including harvesting and gleaning, community gardens and more.
Details about all the Town’s volunteer opportunities, along with an online volunteer registration form, are provided on the Town’s website at http://bit.ly/WFVolunteerOpportunities.
