Residents, business owners & stakeholders invited to complete Historic Preservation Plan Update Community Survey

Thursday, April 21, 2022 - 4:23pm

The Town of Wake Forest has started the process of updating the 2012 Historic Preservation Plan, and we need your input. Between now and the end of May, Wake Forest residents, business owners, and community stakeholders are invited to complete an online survey on what you value in Wake Forest and would like to see preserved for future generations. Available at https://engagewakeforest.org/, the survey takes less than 15 minutes to complete.

As part of an effort to encourage citizen input and participation, the Town will host a Community Visioning Workshop on Tuesday, May 10, from 6-7 p.m. at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre, 405 S. Brooks St. Residents, business owners, and stakeholders will have the opportunity to share their thoughts and opinions on the Town’s historic preservation initiatives and implementation in Wake Forest for the next 10 years.

In anticipation of the May 10 meeting, residents are invited to respond to a series of questions that will be posted every Thursday between now and May 5 on Engage Wake Forest at https://engagewakeforest.org/. This week, residents are invited to respond to a series of multiple choice questions about the Town’s historic preservation initiatives.

The Wake Forest Historic Preservation Plan Update has been financed in part with federal funds from the National Park Service, U.S. Department of the Interior. However, the contents and opinions do not necessarily reflect views or policies of the U.S. Department of the Interior, nor does the mention of trade names, commercial products, or organizations constitute endorsement or recommendation by the Department of the Interior.
