The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department will offer free class demonstrations of Zumbini, “Bring It” Majorette/Dance Style and All Level Yoga over the next several weeks. Pre-registration for each demonstration class is required at https://wakeforestnc.recdesk.com.

Designed for ages 3-5, Zumbini™ is a 45-minute class that focuses on early childhood development through music and movement. Both fun and interactive, the class allows kids to dance, sing, play instruments and enhance their social and emotional development. The Zumbini format consists of both large movement and seated singing and smaller movement. Come join the awesome bonding time with your little one. Free class demonstrations will be offered on Tuesday, Feb. 4, and Tuesday, March 31, from 10-10:45 a.m. at the Wake Forest Community House, 133 W. Owen Ave.

“Bring It” Majorette/Dance Style is a high-energy, synchronized, rhythmic dance building class for young people ages 8-16. The moves and technique draw from ballet, jazz, modern dance, hip hop, and gymnastics. This movement class challenges your discipline, originality and passion, while teaching you to compete with yourself to become a great dancer. “Bring It” is designed to build dancer’s strength, technique and stamina throughout each one-hour session. The free demonstration class will be offered Saturday, Feb. 15, from 9-10 a.m. at the Alston-Massenburg Center, 416 N. Taylor St.

Finally, through All Level Yoga area residents ages 16 and older can explore calming and centering their breath, moving energy throughout their body, gentle stretches and extended meditation. Participants can also learn coping skills for stress. The free demonstration class is scheduled for Tuesday, Feb. 25, from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at Flaherty Park Community Center, 1226 N. White St. Attendees are encouraged to bring an open mind and yoga mat.
