Music at Midday begins May 9

Wednesday, April 17, 2019 - 1:38pm

Area residents are invited to listen to great music and dine outside, all the while enjoying the spring season, during Wake Forest’s Music at Midday weekly concert series.

Co-sponsored by the Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources (PRCR) Department and ARTS Wake Forest, the free music series begins Thursday, May 9, and continues on consecutive Thursdays through May 30.

Scheduled from noon-1 p.m., Music at Midday will feature a variety of local performers and take place in Centennial Plaza, the gateway to the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St.

This year’s concert lineup includes Big Bang Boom on May 9; Into the Fog on May 16; Kristi Dixon on May 23; and Freddy Greene Trio on May 30.

Lumpy’s Ice Cream will be on site selling desserts and sweet treats during each concert.

Area residents are encouraged to bring lunch - either from home or a local restaurant - relax and enjoy the entertainment during Music at Midday.
