Lions Club International is a world-wide organization of volunteers with the purpose of “We Serve”. Our primary focus is preservation of eyesight in children and adults. We collect used eyeglasses and other equipment that can be re-purposed for those who cannot afford them. We provide vaccinations for diseases such as measles and river blindness in parts of the world not previously served. We help during natural disasters affecting Lions in all countries. On a local level, we provide eye and hearing exams free of charge twice a year for all who visit our Mobile Screening Unit. We provide eye exams and eyeglasses year-round to local individuals who cannot afford to buy them. We raise money in various ways to fund our efforts. We provide funds to the local food bank. We support local families during the Holidays with gifts and food. We support a Leo Club at Wake Forest High School that allows students to learn the effect Lions can have in the community. We strive to serve the Wake Forest community and provide fellowship for the men and women in our club. We welcome new members and Lions moving here from other areas. For more information, contact Lions President Jim Tobolski at 919-764-9153.

Repeats every month on the second Thursday 24 times.
