Art and culture are important to our community. That’s why the Wake Forest Cultural Arts Association (WFCAA) and the Wake Forest Downtown Revitalization Corporation are teaming up again this year to sponsor the Annual Wake Forest Autumn Arts Festival.
The festival will take place on Saturday, Oct. 10 from 10 a.m. to 5:00 pm, along South White Street in the heart of Historic Downtown Wake Forest. This second Saturday in October should provide us with pleasant weather and a beautiful autumn day!
The WFCAA and DRC are pleased to offer the Autumn Arts Festival to new and long-time Wake Forest residents, as well as visitors to our fair community. The festival provides a wonderful opportunity for local and regional artists to display and sell their work and educate the public on various art techniques and the use of different mediums. It is also a great opportunity for friends and families to come to Historic Downtown Wake Forest to take part in the fun activities, admire the unique architecture of the historic buildings and enjoy the charm and appeal of the downtown setting.
This year’s festival is gearing up to be one of the best ever! Talented and diverse artists will be set up in the South White Street Municipal Parking Lot alongside the gazebo. There will also be live music, great food, family and children’s entertainment - including a puppet show sponsored by the Town of Wake Forest Parks & Recreation Department, and assorted activities along East Owen Avenue, which will be closed during the festival.
This is truly a festival for people of all ages!
