The Town of Wake Forest and the Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce are partnering to present a new information series called "Wake Up Wake Forest."

Wake Up Wake Forest is designed to keep area residents up to date on current topics, while also connecting them with influential political, business, and civic leaders across our region and state.

The 2016-17 seminar dates and topics are provided below:

  • Tuesday, Dec. 6 - Trends Impacting the Economy

  • Tuesday, April 4 - Managing Growth in Wake Forest

  • Tuesday, Sept. 12 - Transit's Impact on the Business Community

Each session will begin at 7:30 a.m. and take place at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts, 405 S. Brooks St.

The entire community is invited to attend and breakfast will be served.


2016-17 Series Schedule & Topics

Trends Impacting the Economy - Mark Vitner
Tuesday, Dec. 6; 7:30 a.m.

Presenter Mark Vitner, Managing Director, Senior Economist for Wells Fargo, is a renowned economist whose expertise is explaining current economic trends and making them meaningful on a local level.

Mark will provide his yearly analysis and predictions on global, national, regional, and local trends impacting the economy. 

The community is invited to attend and breakfast will be served.

 


Managing Growth in Wake Forest - Chip Russell
Tuesday, April 4; 7:30 am

Wake Forest Planning Director Chip Russell will discuss managing growth, the town's Unified Development Ordinance, impact fees, and the town's Community Plan. 

The community is invited to attend and breakfast will be served.

 


Transit's Impact on the Business Community - Joe Milazzo
Tuesday, Sept. 12; 7:30 a.m.

Joe Milazzo, Executive Director of the Regional Transportation Alliance, will discuss the Wake Transit Plan.

He will specifically address the plan's impact from a regional business community perspective.

The community is invited to attend and breakfast will be served.

The cost for each session is $10 (plus tax) or $25 (plus tax) for all three.
