Saturday, March 1, 2014 All Day
Plans are underway for a fun-filled day in downtown Wake Forest for both children and adults during the Wake Forest Mardi Gras Street Festival & Renaissance Ball on Saturday, March 1. The event will invite area residents to visit the heart of Wake Forest and experience all that downtown and the new Wake Forest Renaissance Centre have to offer.
The street festival will feature live music and special performances, face painting and a children's parade. There will also be a King and Queen Costume Contest and other fun activities for the young and the young at heart.
The day-long festivities will conclude with a sensational evening of music and dancing during our Mardi Gras Renaissance Ball at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre.
Attire is black-tie optional, but Mardi Gras masks are encouraged, so here's your chance to come out dressed to impress.
Set to begin at 7 p.m., the evening will include dinner, a cash bar, live entertainment and much more. Tickets are $60 per person and are now on sale.
Event proceeds will be used to support arts programming at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre.
