Smith Creek Soccer Center, field #2, is closed through August 2013 for maintenance.
In June the Town of Wake Forest contracted with Rainy Days Irrigation, Inc., to install an in-ground irrigation system, re-grade the field surface, and install Bermuda sod.
Signs and temporary fencing are posted around the perimeter of the field to inform the public of the closure. Area residents are urged to stay off the field in order to avoid causing damage that will affect the turf’s quality and potentially cause a longer closure period.
