Load Management

The Town of Wake Forest offers water heater, heat strip, and air conditioner load management incentives to its existing residential and commercial customers, while installing load management controls on all new residential services.

Appliance Rebates

Install a new energy-efficient heat pump, contact Drew Brown at (919) 554-6107 to sign up for Load Management and apply for the energy rebate credit. Once completed, the Town of Wake Forest will credit your utility bill $300*.

Install a new energy-efficient electric hot water pump, contact Drew Brown at (919) 554-6107 to sign up for Load Management and apply for the energy rebate credit. Once completed, the Town of Wake Forest will credit your utility bill $150*. 

* The Load Management control must be installed for one year or you will be billed for the full amount of the rebate.

Commercial Energy Audits

The Town of Wake Forest is committed to helping its commercial customers and property owners obtain the most possible from their energy dollars. Due to the complexity of many business operations, we recognize that it is often difficult for businesses to control or reduce their energy usage.
