The Streets Division maintains all Town-owned streets. Among its responsibilities are patching potholes, removing dead animals and cleaning and maintaining ditches. The division also cleans and maintains storm drains, installs speed bumps, cuts Town right of ways and removes trash from Town streets. Within the Street Division, the Town's maintenance crew mows and maintains the grounds of the Town of Wake Forest Cemetery.
During periods of ice, snow or other inclement weather, major roads are cleared before secondary roads. During these emergency situations, the Town maintains crews to clear the roads. Several roads within Wake Forest are state-maintained, including South Main Street, North Main Street, NC 98 east and west (Durham Road and Wait Avenue).
