The Town of Wake Forest Electric Division has 22 employees. These employees are responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of electric lines. We have a line locator to locate all underground and overhead utilities maintained by the Town. The Electric Division also consists of a three man tree crew. This crew maintains the trimming and removal of all trees that interfere with the Town electric lines. By trimming and removing these trees, during storms they will not be a threat to the power lines, thus eliminating outages. To request that a tree be looked at that may be threatening your service or the Town's main electric lines, please contact, 919-554-6120 to request a work order. As the tree crew removes and trims lines, they chip the trees and limbs. If you would like to request mulch please contact, 919-554-6120.
For the repair of area, security, and street lights, please contact 919-554-6120. For new installation of an area or security light please contact 919-554-6100.
