Chief of Police Jeffrey M. Leonard

Chief Jeffrey M. Leonard is a lifelong Wake Forest resident and graduated from Wake Forest-Rolesville High School in 1989. He began his law enforcement career with the Wake Forest Police Department in 1992 as an auxiliary police officer and worked in that capacity until 1994 when he was hired as a full time officer after graduating from college.
Chief Leonard earned a bachelor’s degree from North Carolina State University in 1994. He is also a graduate of the Administrative Officer’s Management Program sponsored by North Carolina State University.
Chief Leonard is a graduate of the 226th session of the FBI National Academy and has served as a former president of the North Carolina Juvenile Officer’s Association.
