The Wake Forest Parks & Recreation Department offers athletic programs for boys and girls, ages five and older. The youth athletics participant fee for residents is $40 per player (per season) and $80 per player (per season) for non-residents.
A registration form is required for each participant/season, and a copy of the participant's birth certificate is required for all first-time registrants.
BASKETBALL
The Wake Forest Parks & Recreation Department offers leagues for boys ages 5-17 and girls ages 5-15. Registration is held in October of each year. Teams begin practicing in December and games are played from January through March (primarily Friday nights and Saturday). Practices and games are held at the Flaherty Park Community Center and in local school gymnasiums.
BASEBALL & SOFTBALL
Spring/Summer Leagues
WFPRD offers T-ball, baseball, and softball leagues, including Dream League baseball for children with special needs. League age is determined by participant's age on April 30 of the current year. Leagues are offered for boys and girls ages 5-17. Registration for Spring/Summer leagues is held in February of each year.
Fall Leagues
Fall baseball and softball practices begin in mid-August. Games begin in September and are played primarily on Friday evenings and Saturdays in various Wake Forest parks. League age is determined by participant's age on April 30 of the current year. Leagues are offered for boys ages 6-16 and girls ages 6-13. Registration for Fall baseball and softball is held in June of each year.
