Sanford Creek at Heritage South

Located at the end of Marshall Farm Road within the Heritage South subdivision, this 10-feet wide asphalt, concrete and boardwalk trail is approximately 1.1 mile in length.  Parking is available at the Sanford Creek Avenue cul-de-sac.


Smith Creek at Burlington Mills Road
Located behind the Caddell Woods and Moss Creek subdivisions, this 10-feet wide paved asphalt trail is approximately 3/4 mile long.

 

 

 

 

 

 




Smith Creek at Smith Creek Soccer Center 
Located between Heritage Lake Road and Rogers Road, in the Heritage Wake Forest subdivision, this 10-feet wide paved asphalt trail is approximately ½ mile in length.  A playground, picnic shelter and parking are located within the park. Portable restrooms are available.

 


Kiwanis Park section
Located behind Kiwanis Park and the Wake Forest Library, this 10-feet wide paved asphalt trail is approximately 1/4 mile long. A playground and picnic shelter are provided. Parking is available at the library and on Holding Avenue.



Tyler Run Park section 
Located within Tyler Run Park, this five-feet wide paved asphalt trail is approximately 1/4 mile long. A playground, ballfield, basketball court and parking are located within the park. Portable restrooms are available.




Flaherty Park section
Located within Flaherty Park, this 10-feet wide paved asphalt trail is approximately 1/4 mile in length. Picnic shelter, tennis courts, the Flaherty Park Community Center, and several ballfields are located within the park. Restrooms are available.


Miller Park Greenway
Located in H.L. Miller Park, the five-feet wide paved asphalt trail is approximately ½ mile in length.
 


Olde Mill Stream section of the Richland Creek Greenway
Offering scenic views along Richland Creek, the 10-feet wide asphalt multi-use trail is designed for biking, hiking or simply enjoying nature. As part of the planned north-south arterial greenway trail of Wake Forest’s open space and greenway system, the half-mile section begins at the Olde Mill Stream Sales Office, extends north along the east side of Richland Creek and ends just north of Littlehampton Court at Barnford Mill Road. Wake Forest’s “Open Space and Greenways Plan” proposes for the Richland Creek Greenway to continue north to the Franklin County line, south to Joyner Park, and to eventually connect future sections of the Wake Forest Greenway System. Parking is available at the sales office on Barnford Mill Road.
