International dancer Miki Orihara will present two professional modern dance performances at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre on Friday, Sept. 29, at 11 a.m. and 7 p.m.
Orihara, a principal dancer in the Martha Graham Dance Company in New York City, will explore the continuity and linkage between modern and contemporary dance, as a new generation of artists begin to create work and inspire the next phase of modern dance.
She will perform the works of various choreographers, both re-staged and new, including Martha Graham, Jose Limon, Martha Clarke, and Adam Barruch with original score by Senri Oe.
Advance tickets for each performance are $10 plus tax for adults and $8 plus tax for students and seniors.
