Holding Park Pool

The Wake Forest Parks, Recreation & Cultural Resources Department will open Holding Park Pool for the 2016 season on Saturday, May 28. The pool will be open through Sunday, Aug. 28.

Located at 133 W. Owen Ave., Holding Park Pool is one of the area’s largest outdoor public swimming pools. The 50-meter pool is open during the summer months and offers swimming to the general public, as well swim lessons and dedicated parent/toddler swim times.

PLEASE NOTE: Alcoholic beverages are prohibited at all town facilities, and smoking is limited to parking areas only. Use of personal grills (gas and/or charcoal) is prohibited in all parks.

  • Monday - Friday, 1 – 6 pm
  • Saturday - Sunday, 1 - 7 pm

Daily Admission Fees

  • $1 - children ages 2 and under
  • $3 - children ages 3-12
  • $4 - patrons ages 13 and over

Season Passes
Season passes are now on sale.
Passes are for individuals only and may be purchased at Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St. The fee is $40 per person for Wake Forest (in-town) residents and $65 per person for non-Wake Forest residents.

A new offering this year is a punch card pass good for 20 visits. The new punch card is $50 and can be used by multiple pool patrons.


Swim Lessons
Swim lesson registration begins Monday, June 1. The swim lesson schedule will be announced May 26. Classes are offered for preschoolers (3-5-year-olds) and beginners (ages 6 and above). Registration is held at town hall. The participant fee is $35 for Wake Forest (in-town) residents and $70 for non-residents.


Parent/Toddler Swim
Parent/Toddler passes will go on sale May 1 and are for one parent and up to two children ages 4 and under. The fee is $30 per pass. Parent/Toddler swim times are Monday – Saturday, noon - 1 pm, from June 11 to Aug. 20, 2015. PASS IS REQUIRED.
