Greenway Rules & Safety
GREENWAY RULES
Greenway hours: dawn to dusk
Obey all posted rules and regulations.
Consumption of alcoholic beverages is prohibited.
It is unlawful to possess firearms or other weapons.
Unauthorized motorized vehicles are not permitted on the greenway.
It is unlawful to remove, destroy, or damage any plant life or property.
Pets must be on a leash.
Pet owners must remove all waste left by pets.
It is unlawful to kill, trap, or molest animals or birds.
Swimming in lakes or streams is not permitted.
All trail users under the age of 16 are required to wear a safety helmet when biking, skating, or using a scooter or any other non-motorized vehicle.
Bicyclists, skaters, and skateboarders should approach pedestrians cautiously and slow down when there is limited vision.
A 10 mph speed limit has been imposed on the greenway trails. Please self-monitor your speed.
GREENWAY SAFETY
Bicyclists, skaters, and skateboarders should approach pedestrians cautiously and slow down when vision is limited.
Greenway users, including pets, should remain on the right side of the trail except when passing.
Bicyclists, skaters, and skate boarders must always yield the right of way to pedestrians.
Patrons should be aware of other users on the trail.
The use of headphones is discouraged.
Patrons are encouraged to walk or jog with a companion.
Patrons should securely lock private vehicles. If valuables are left in a vehicle, lock them in the trunk.
