Forest Moon Theater will present “Babe, The Sheep-Pig” Thursday-Sunday, Nov. 16-19, at the Wake Forest Renaissance Centre for the Arts, 405 S. Brooks St. Thursday and Friday showtimes are 7:30 p.m.; Saturday and Sunday showtimes are 3 p.m. and 7:30 p.m.
When Farmer Hogget wins a pig named Babe at the county fair and brings him home to fatten up (for reasons we will not discuss), the farm is never again the same. With the help of an aging sheep dog, Babe discovers his talent for herding, politely convincing the sheep to follow his lead. His new-found skills are put to the test when the farmer enters him in the Grand Sheep-dog Trials.
Will Babe be toasted or roasted? It’s the question of the day that’s answered in the play.
Babe, the Sheep-Pig by David Wood is based on the book by Dick King-Smith and presented by special arrangement with Samuel French, Inc.
Advance tickets are $15 plus tax for adults and $13 plus tax for students and seniors. These prices reflect a savings of $3 per adult and student/senior “day of” admission tickets.
