The towns of Apex, Cary, Holly Springs, & Wake Forest, along with the cities of Raleigh and Durham, and Orange & Wake Counties invite you to a half day seminar on the installation and maintenance of erosion control devices.
This seminar will provide the background of sedimentation & erosion control devices that are used to control erosion from construction sites. Topics relating to installation, inspection and maintenance of erosion control devices will be covered, as well as a summary of local program requirements that may vary as you work in different locations. The target audience for this program will be the personnel overseeing the installation and the maintenance of the erosion control measures.
The seminar will address the following topics:
- The Erosion Process: Sedimentation effects, factors that influence erosion & turbidity
- Rules & Regulations: Updates from Local Programs
- Erosion Control Measures and Stormwater Best Management Practices (BMPs)
