The goal of CSBDF’s Disaster Resiliency 101 Workshop is to bring awareness to the frequency of weather occurrences in our region, while scaling businesses’ internal practices as a pro-active measure in disaster preparedness. “The overall goal is to give business owners an opportunity to measure current preparedness practices with the intention of creating a more resilient business community,” said Leslie Lewis, Business Service Advisor for the CSBDF.

The Disaster Resiliency 101 Workshop is designed to Help business owners determine the probability of a natural disaster while using a Resiliency Score Card to scale their business resiliency practices; Teach best practices and provide resources that will guide businesses through planning, execution, and post-disaster strategies; Introduce businesses to resources in the community to help with disaster resiliency and recovery. All workshop participants will receive a Disaster Recovery and Resiliency Kit which was designed by seasoned business owners and community partners to ensure that businesses will have the ability to feel empowered in protecting their business and employees during the stress of a natural disaster.
