Fact Sheets

The Town of Wake Forest has prepared the following library of fact sheets concerning current town projects. The information sheets are designed to answer commonly asked questions and educate area residents about happenings in the Wake Forest community.

South Franklin Street Project South Franklin Street Project
The Franklin Street project is a significant part of the Town of Wake Forest’s Renaissance Plan and is designed to provide a substantial gateway from the NC 98 bypass into the downtown area.
New Town Hall

New Wake Forest Town Hall
Work on the new Wake Forest Town Hall began in the summer of 2008 and is expected to be completed in the fall of 2009. The 44,000‐square‐foot municipal facility will house all Town departments except police and public works.

White Street Plan White Street Plan - Coming Soon!
Econ International Corp. began work on Phase I of the South White Street Improvement Plan on September 22, 2008. Phase I encompasses the west side of South White Street from Roosevelt Avenue (NC 98) to Jones Avenue and the east side of South White Street from Roosevelt to Wait Avenue.
Taylor Street Park

Taylor Street Park Project
The Taylor Street Park project got underway the week of November 10, 2008 and is now open for family enjoyment! The park includes tot swings, a sand box with excavators, children swings, an X-Wave, a slide, picnic area and several green areas in which to play and enjoy the outdoors. The project is a result of the Northeast Neighborhood Plan, which was approved in July 2007.
