The City of Raleigh is preparing to begin the Smith Creek and Richland Creek Sanitary Sewer Improvements.
The Smith Creek Sanitary Sewer Improvements will begin at the Smith Creek Wastewater Treatment Plant on Ligon Mill Road and take place along Smith Creek, Tom’s Branch, Spring Branch, and Dunn’s Creek.
The Richland Creek enhancements will originate near New Falls of Neuse Road and follow the creek upstream to Durham Road. The improvements will also occur along a number of spur lines that serve the Crenshaw and Cimarron subdivisions.
The City of Raleigh will host a public meeting on Monday, Aug. 27, for residents in the vicinity of Smith Creek and on Tuesday, Aug. 28, for residents in the vicinity of Richland Creek. These sessions will address the sanitary sewer improvements and give residents the opportunity to ask questions.
Both meetings will be held in the ground floor meeting room at the Wake Forest Town Hall, 301 S. Brooks St., and will include an informal open house from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. followed by a formal presentation at 6:30 p.m. Anyone planning to attend one of these meetings is encouraged to use town hall’s Taylor Street entrance.
