Utilities

The Town of Wake Forest owns its electric distribution system and provides garbage and bulk waste pickup services to residents, businesses and industries in Wake Forest. Locally-owned and operated, these public utilities provide safe and reliable service at a reasonable price. Our employees are the neighbors of the people we serve, and they stand ready to help customers with problems or questions.

Rates and policies are set by the Town of Wake Forest Board of Commissioners. Utilities revenues maintain our utility systems and help our community.

To set up or terminate electric service, call Utility Billing at (919) 435-9468. The Town requires a deposit up to $200 to set up an account. The deposit can be waived if a customer provides two letters of credit from any previous utility company showing 12 months of good payment history. You may fax the letter of credit to (919) 435-435-9489 or mail it to 301 S. Brooks Street, Wake Forest, NC 27587.

Our business office is located in the Town Hall Building, 301 S. Brooks Street. Business Hours are from 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday-Friday (closed holidays). Free parking is available for our visitors and customers. Call (919) 435-9400 during business hours for more information.
